This year was a fantastic year in reading. I read over 30 books this year. Not all of them came out in 2015 but of the books that did release this year I thought I would make a best of the year list. A few of these books might even become all time favorites!
And here we go, The Best Books of 2015 by MightyThorJRS:
#5 – is a tie between two Joe Abercrombie books. Loved this series!
Half a War and Half the World by
My reviews of the books:
Half the World (Shattered Sea #2) by Joe Abercrombie
Half a War (Shattered Sea #3) by Joe Abercrombie.
———-
#4 – Another marvelous book from the great Brandon Sanderson!
My review of this book:
Shadows of Self (Mistborn #5) by Brandon Sanderson
———-
#3 – Is a book from a truly phenomenal series! Can’t wait for The Last Mortal Bond!
My review of this book:
The Providence of Fire (Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne #2) by Brian Staveley
———-
#2 – Well there is no two on my list. I decided there was a tie for the top spot. It was a very difficult to decide on one of these two books for the top spot so I just cheated and went with 1A and 1B.
So without further ado, The best books of 2015…..drum roll please………
#1B – A book that came out of nowhere and just blew me away!
My review of this book:
Beyond Redemption By Michael R. Fletcher
———
1A – This book is by my favorite author. This book and I had a emotional bond. I was going though a particularly rough patch earlier this year and this book was my saving grace. Being able to jump into it and escape for a little while was such a big help. Thank You Mark Lawrence!
My review of this book:
The Liar’s Key (The Red Queen’s War Book 2) by Mark Lawrence
———-
Well, that wraps it up I guess. My Best Books of 2015!
Thanks to everyone for making the first year of MightyThorJRS so awesome!
I have yet to read Joe Abercrombie, and I haven’t tried Sanderson’s new Mistborn series, but I can’t argue with your top 3.

I can’t believe I haven’t read any of these, but I’m dying to read Beyond Redemption, so I’ll add it to my backlist for 2016. Have a wonderful New Year’s!

That’s an awesome list indeed, and I’m so glad to discover Beyond Redemption, it’s in my 2015 best of list also. I can’t wait to read The Shattered Sea but I’m still working on the First Law (a few review commitments came in between) and I love Abercrombie’s amazing characters and dialogues. I bet Shattered Sea books are as awesome as you say 🙂

BR is pretty darn awesome! I really need to read First Law this year! I guess maybe by this time next year we will both be caught up on our Abercrombie reading! 🙂

I haven’t read any of your top five, which means more books to add to my re-read shelf, thanks. 😉 Though I have heard of all the authors, however. Which would you recommend checking out in the library first? I’m really not a picky reader, but are all of them part of a series?

Unfortunately all of these are part of a series of books. Beyond Redemption is a first book so that would probably be your best bet. All of these are great series to start! Thanks You!

Thanks. I’ll be sure to add all of them to my reading list, but Beyond Redemption will definitely be first. 🙂
